Find some of the yummy recipes and fun projects from the Resident Witches Series!

Readers of the Resident Witch Series asked me to share the recipes that Reveena, Cordelia, and Cecelia created in their kitchens. Here you’ll find Cecelia’s famous Saturday Morning Pancakes, as well as Reveena’s What’s Ailing Ya Tea Blend. But I’ve also included a few fun things from the kids too!

Momma’s Pumpkin Muffin Recipe~ from Tea Leaves and Trouble: Castor’s Resident Witch

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour three 7×3 inch loaf pans or muffin tins.

In large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, water, and sugar until well blended.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. Stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just blended. Pour into the prepared pans/ tins.

Bake for about 50 minutes in the preheated oven. Done when toothpick inserted into centers come out clean.

Zelda’s Peppermint Lavender Foot Soak ~ from Tea Leaves & Trouble: Castor’s Resident Witch

Assembly:

In a medium glass bowl, mix together Epsom salt and iodized salt.

Add peppermint and lavender oils, and mix together. If desired, add in additional drops to your liking.

Store in glass container with a leak proof lid, in a cool place.

Create the Soak:

Add one Tbsp of mix to 8 cups of warm water.

Enjoy!

PS…. Be aware that it makes feet slippery! Use caution when finished and dry them completely!

Saturday Morning Pancakes ~ From Tea Leaves & Trouble: Castor’s Resident Witch

Sift flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and soda together in a bowl. Set aside.

In another bowl, beat the egg, butter, vanilla and the milk; then add dry mixture and beat until smooth.

Lightly grease a griddle and heat over medium-high heat. Pour batter by using 1/4 cupfuls. Cook until golden on both sides.

Ernie’s “What’s Ailing Ya” Tea Leaf Blend~ From Tea Leaves and Trouble: Castor’s Resident Witch

Blend together in a glass jar with tight lid.

How to Brew: 1 Tbsp for every 8 ounces of water. Steep leaves in 194 degree water for 5-7 minutes.

Mike’s Christmas Eve Smelts ~ From Tea Leaves and Trouble: Castor’s Resident Witch

Rinse smelts and dry completely.

Mix crumbs, salt and pepper together.

Sprinkle lemon juice onto dry smelts.

Toss smelts in crumb mixture until well coated.

Place oil in cast-iron skillet to cover bottom of pan. Heat and add smelts, don’t overcrowd.

Fry 3-4 minutes per side, until cooked through all the way.


Lilia’s Peppermint Tea~ From Cousins and Cauldrons: Trestle Cove’s Resident Witch

Wash the grit from the leaves, otherwise, the tea will be muddy!

Roughly tear the leaves with your hands. This brings out the oil and makes a more robust taste flavor.

Place the leaves in a pot, or French Press, and pour boiling water over them. Infuse for 5-8 minutes.

Strain and pour into cups.

Add-ins: Honey and Lemon Juice

Sunny’s Sugar Cookies~ From Cousins and Cauldrons: Trestle Cove’s Resident Witch

Mix all ingredients to form a soft dough.

Shape into 1″ balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with palm to 1/4″ thickness.

OR

Roll out with a rolling pin and use cookie cutters to create desired shapes. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes

Cool before icing.

Royal Icing~ From Cousins and Cauldrons: Trestle Cove’s Resident Witch

Mix all ingredients and ice the cookies.
